Rebecca Haydock, the new director of the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center is a multi-time entrepreneur and investor. She has doubled the size of her organization and curated new resources over the last few months to help companies face the challenges of business now. The CV SBDC exists to serve you and your business. Come learn what resources exist for you and hear success stories of companies thriving amidst the challenges of the pandemic. There will be time for Q&A with business and technical experts on hand.
Rebecca grew up on a farm in Upstate, NY, comes from a family of entrepreneurs and started her first of several businesses at age 16. A graduate of Cornell University, she has over 20 years of experience advising, starting, growing and financing primarily technology-based businesses. She has owned and operated companies ranging from bagels to biotech. Rebecca formerly worked in economic development in Schenectady, NY, at the NC SBDC advising in government contracting and business development, spoke at national technology conferences, managed a tech portfolio as a Director at Princeton, NJ based Technology Management and Funding, and is an experienced an angel investor, strategic advisor, and mentor. As a business advisor and Director of CV SBDC she guides organizational excellence, sustainable business practices, and building operational infrastructure for growth with an emphasis on acquiring human and financial assets.
