Grants can be a nice supplement to your business income, but remember, they are not entirely free! This session will provide general information on how to get started with grants and where to find federal, state, and private sector grants for all small businesses. Private sector grants for women-, minority-, and veteran-owned businesses will be highlighted.

Rosi Beachy is Assistant Director and General Business Advisor for the Central VIrginia Small Business Development Center. Her real-world experience includes sales, market research, customer service, as well as successfully researching and writing grant applications in the nonprofit sector. Rosi owns and operates her own small business. She understands the challenges of obtaining funding for start-up and expansion.
