Have a food business idea, or ready to grow the one you already have? 

Join us for Food Business 101 on May 11 from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM in Rapidan, VA! This hands-on workshop is designed to help food entrepreneurs take the next step in building a successful business.

Hosted by the Central Virginia SBDC and the Carver Food Enterprise Center, this session will walk you through the essentials of starting and growing a food business. You’ll learn how to build your business plan and explore different paths for your product; whether that’s food trucks, catering, farmers markets, retail stores, or selling online through platforms like Amazon or Faire.

We’re also excited that VDH and VDACS will join us to share guidance on regulations and permits for food businesses, helping you better understand what’s required to get started.

Topics include:
• Creating your business plan
• Mobile food businesses (farmers markets, food trucks, catering, and more)
• Launching and distributing packaged food products
• Understanding food regulations with VDH & VDACS
