Come and learn everything you need to know about SWaM Certification and the benefits this offers in securing a state or local government contract!
The Commonwealth of Virginia’s procurement agency (and many local government’s agencies) have a “set-aside” program that gives priority to Small, Woman- and/or Minority-owned (SWaM) companies. Companies must apply for SWAM certification to be considered in this set-aside program. This workshop is designed to help guide you through the certification process and assist you in navigating the Commonwealth’s online procurement system, e-VA, as well.
Topics covered in this workshop:
- Details/benefits of the small business set-aside preference program
- Navigating the SWaM application process
- Positioning your business for greater success at winning contracts
- Live demo and walk thru of the SWaM certification website and the eVA website
