DESCRIPTION:Virginia early-stage innovative entrepreneurs:  Charlottesville Angel Network (CAN) and Virginia Small Business Development Center (VSBDC) have joined forces to help you polish your pitch presentation.\nCAN and VSBDC are offering four pitch practice opportunities in 2022\, with accredited angel investors in attendance. There is no cost to participate and presenter(s) will leave with actionable feedback from these angel investors. \nThree applicants will be selected for each Pitch Preview event\, held the first Thursday of the selected months\, between 12:00-2:00 pm. Attendees commit to thirty minute time slots consisting of: 5 minutes to join and meet angels\, 15 minutes to pitch\, and 10 minutes for feedback. Events will either be held virtually over Zoom or in person\, hosted by Central Virginia SBDC in Charlottesville\, VA. \n**This is not an application for funding or a formal presentation to request investment.** \nFor more detailed qualification information and to apply\, please read\, and if eligible\, submit an application for consideration in the program. Before joining the PTAC community\, Lisa was a Procurement Specialist for Bechtel Plant Machinery\, Inc. in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. In this role\, Wood performed contract administration and negotiation duties. DESCRIPTION:Win the $6\,750 Quad Tank Competition!\nStart-up or existing companies in Fluvanna\, Greene\, Louisa\, Orange\, and Madison Counties.\nTake our prep class to make the most of your pitch\nThe Central Virginia SBDC team will walk you through what is crucial to include in your pitch and how to make the most of your ten minutes before the judges. Plenty of time for Q & A and individual meetings can be scheduled after the session. \nREGISTER\n\n \nDETAILS:  This is the fourth annual QuadTank Pitch Competition – an exciting new addition to the Quad County Business Summit. The winning individual or team this year will be awarded a $6\,750 cash prize to support implementation of their business plans. At the end of the Quad County Business Summit\, the winner will be chosen by a panel of judges. \nPROCESS: \n1) Participating individuals or teams schedule a meeting with a Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CV SBDC) advisor anytime before September 16th to apply and discuss the project for which funding is being sought. Meetings will be scheduled at times convenient for the applicant(s).  Meetings are scheduled by CV SBDC’s Client Services Coordinator\, Mesa McMurtrey via email: contact@cvsbdc.org\, or by calling 434-295-8198. \n2) We recommend attending the one hour Pitch Preparation program offered via zoom on September 20\, noon-1:00pm to get tips and tricks and an explanation of the judging criteria. A recording of the program will be made available for those that cannot attend. \n3) Applicants prepare and submit a written description of the project\, a business plan or pitch deck no later than Monday\, September 26th at noon to QuadTank@cvsbdc.org. \n4) All applicants will be entered into consideration for Semi-finalists (up to 4) will be invited to present in person at Quad Business Summit on Wednesday\, October 12th. \nFORMAT:\nParticipants will be allotted a maximum of ten (10) minutes to pitch their idea or concept and five (5) minutes for Q&A with the judges. Participants may use PowerPoint\, Canva\, GoogleSlides or other visual aids\, or props during their pitch. Final pitch visuals should be submitted to QuadTank@cvsbdc.org 48 hours prior to presentation\, as a backup\, in case there are issues with technology.
