DESCRIPTION:TThe Winchester Cultural Council invites applications from orga
 nizations\, schools and individuals of all ages for grants that support cu
 ltural activities in the community. Those activities can include performan
 ces\, workshops\, consumers’ awareness regarding the source of their dri
 nking water\, help three consumers to understand the process by which safe
  drinking water is delivered to their homes\, and educate consumers about 
 the importance. The awkward triangular shape of the site generated the pur
 e triangular plan of the house surrounded by three gardens\; an entrance g
 arden to the north\, a breakfast garden to the east and green garden to th
 e south.\n\nProjects should have a local sponsor\; local artists and perfo
 rmers are especially encouraged to apply. Past programs supported by WCC g
 rants include Art in August\, Authorfest\, the Just a Minute Film Festival
 \, a film about Col. Winchester\, concerts on the Common and at Wright-Loc
 ke Farm\, a classical Indian dance performance\, and arts programming in s
 chools. The Winchester Cultural Council invites applications from organiza
 tions.\n\n\nSmart City Cultural Council 2019 Grants\nThe Winchester Cultur
 al Council has awarded $5\,200 in LCC grants to 10 individuals and organiz
 ations for 2019. The funded projects expand cultural opportunities for Win
 chester’s students\, help Winchester residents hear distinguished local 
 performers\, and use art to celebrate and strengthen our community. Projec
 ts include Indian Dance and Peking Opera\; the extremely successful Author
 fest program that brings published authors to Winchester schools:\n\n\n 	B

 ine resources\n 	More opportunities in town for visual artists to display 
 their work\n 	More collaborations between the artist community and local b
