SUMMARY:Financing Your Business\, Part 1: Preparing for Your First Bank Loan
DESCRIPTION:Have you recently started a business and now find you need additional financial resources?\nIs a loan right for you?  If so\, how do you choose a bank\, open accounts\, and finance your business?\nJoin First Citizens Bank\, the Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) and the Central Virginia SBDC as we explore loan options\, preparations required\, and how to find the right lender.\nREGISTER\n\nThis workshop is for startups and young businesses that are just beginning to explore sources of capital.  We will cover “the basics” and start you on your way to a successful banking relationship! \nSpeakers include: \nBryan Thomas\, Senior Vice President\, First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company.  First Citizens specializes in small business loans\, offering microloans to meet everyday needs all the way to multi-million dollar loans.  The Bank also offers specialty loans\, including SBA loans\, and has helped nearly 23\,000 clients access the Paycheck Protection Program funding. \nApril Gatewood\, Business Services Representative\, First Citizens Bank & Trust Company.  April has more than 14 years’ experience in the banking industry having held various positions from a teller\, operations management and financial services. She has a passion for building relationships with small business owners to help foster business growth and helping to address business banking and credit needs.  April is born and raised in Charlottesville and is a proud mom to two boys. \nStephen Davis\, President\, Community Investment Collaborative (CIC).  Stephen brings a decade of experience in organization building\, management\, consulting and education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Master’s degree in Education from James Madison University.
